New Classes for 2010 The classes are great fun, so come and be inspired by Beth who will give you lots of fabulous ideas on ways to use your braids. Tangled Yarns is a lovely (air conditioned!) place to hold the class and there’ll be plenty to stimulate your creativity.

MAY 9TH: 10.30AM TO 12.30PM FLOWER POWER WORKSHOP Flower Wrap OR Zig Zag Flower Scarf ...its your choice. In this workshop the beginner will make beautiful flowers with the Flower Motif Kit from Hamanaka, and learn Beths technique of joining them together to make either a scarf or wrap. Workshop: $25 Flower Kit: $35 (Includes set of 4 Flower Motif Disks, Pattern for Scarf or Wrap,and a selection of sample threads) Yarn: Zig Zag Scarf- 4 colours Biggan (4ply). Flower Wrap-3 balls Biggan (4 ply) Your Choice of Colour. -1 skein Evoke Lace weight if you prefer a very fine wrap
MAY 23RD:10:30AM TO 12.30PM JAPANESE BRAIDING(Kumihimo) WORKSHOP CLASS #1
Beginners will make an 8 warp braided choker, “Silken Waves”, in hand-dyed silk, a pendant feature, and complete with deluxe metal end caps and clasp. Returning students can choose either “Silken Waves” or “Diamond Dayz” which has 16 warps and a diamond pattern worked into it.

JUNE 13TH: 10.30AM TO 12.30PM JAPANESE BRAIDING(Kumihimo) WORKSHOP CLASS #2 Beaded Braids Your choice to make Royal Ripple OR Golden Dreams Learn the art of beading during braiding, by making one of these stunning bead encrusted necklaces. Workshop: $25 Kits: $55 each (includes Silk, fittings, beading needle and bobbins) Disk: $20
JUNE27TH: 10.30AM TO 12.30PM JAPANESE BRAIDING(Kumihimo) WORKSHOP CLASS #3 Fine Flat Braid for Scissor Keepers or Bag Jewellery. Make a fine braid and fashion into a Japanese Knot to enhance your scissors, or knitting bag. Add a brooch pin and would make a stunning lapel accessory.
Workshop: $25 Kits: $30 each (includes Silk, fittings, and bobbins) Disk: $20

* For classes where a 2nd lesson may be needed to complete the project, this can be arranged on the same day as the next scheduled class.
** Yarn is to be purchased from Tangled Yarns and payment made directly to Tangled Yarns. If using Evoke Lace Weight, it will need to be balled up prior to the class.
***Payment for Workshops/Classes and all other Kits are to be made directly to Braid & Bead Studio 1 week prior to the Workshop. I’ll give you details when your place in the workshop is confirmed.

Small cushion to support “Funky Flower Scarf” while working on it.

2 large Bull Dog Clips for Belt
